GMT's number inserts question

GMT's have 'pepsi' inserts or black with numbers 0 to 24 (numbers and dots) As I have a SD I understand what the 0-60 is used for, but can someone tell me how you use the 24 rings ??? Great Forum, Be Safe JIM

The military use of the 24-hour system. When traveling accross time zones, you can adjust the bezel the number of hours away from your time zone, and track the local time using the "third leg" of the watch.
