Looking to Buy First Breitling - Which Navitimer 01 or GMT
I am looking to purchase my first Breitling, i am interested in the Navitimer GMT or 01 - Looking at 46mm or 48mm versions in a steel bracelet.
I like the Black Dial and Blue Dial Versions - Looking for suggestions, tips and user feedback.... they both look gorgeous. Also looking for a good discount on these, I am based in the Bay Area, can buy here or from the UK. So far only really found Watchmaxx who give 30-35% off and also Jomashop. Not sure if I get the full warranty. Looking for an AD so that I can get a 5 year warranty if possible |

Those 2mm's make a big difference if small wrist.
I have the 43mm 01 but if my small wrist could handle it, would spend the extra money on the GMT. You should have no problem with a 20% discount, perhaps a bit more depending on AD. Personally, while can be had at some vendors for a whole lot less, I prefer to pay a bit more and buy from an AD, with a factory warranty. Seems no Grey market vendor affords a Breitling factory warranty, only their own instead. That said, many satisfied customers with those vendors. Matter of what makes you feel warm. |

I am 6ft 4ins and broad.... would think that the 46mm and possibly the 48mm would work for me.
The 46mm looks huge too. Any feedback regarding Watchmaxx from anyone? I would buy from an AD if I could get 30% - 35% off, will have to factor in paying sales tax....watchmaxx charge no sales tax |

Just be very careful buying from a grey market dealer with no Breitling warranty, Breitling does not allow others to order parts for their watches. If a service is needed in the first five years (warranty period) you are looking at app. $750. Make sure the difference in price is worth it! |

Jomashop and Watchmaxx provide a 5yr warranty, so what happens if watch needs a service?
Can anyone reccomend an AD in US or UK ? |

The warranty from watchmaxx would be worthless unless they're just going to send to Breitling on your behalf.

I have an older Navitimer Olympus, which is not a GMT but is semi-perpetual (only needs resetting once every 4 years) with a chronograph function. I love it.

get the rattrapante Navitimer. That is a serious in-house complication that even the most die hard breitling hater cannot disparage.

That watch retails for around $3,000 more than a 43 or 46mm Navitimer. |

I may be wrong but I think it has a flyback feature which makes it somewhat idiot proof. So you dont have to start stop reset, but I havent tried the breitling version of the complication.

I never use the chrono but love the looks of one.
A must is at least the 46mm case and a steel bracelet, if I can save 2-3k by going for a non chrono model then that is an option |

I just bought this few days ago.
I think the Navitimer is iconic and the b01 movement so far has been outstanding and very pretty to look at. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk |
