Several ADs have mentioned this with the new Sub coming out. I've been told this is the last yr of production. I know the SD has been replaced with the DSSD and the GMT models Coke, Pepsi, etc. are not made anymore. Can it be inferred these models could become valuable in the future? I'm not talking as valuable as a PP vintage but just worth holding on to.

One that has been around since the Green Sub was first produced.

Well with this new Sub, I CANNOT IMAGINE the 16610 being discontinued. I think that is Rolex's flagship kind of like the Porshce 911. I don't know. I guess we'll all behave like good little Pavlovian Dogs when the ADs ring their little bell.

No one knows the fate of any reference except Rolex. If I had to guess, I'd say there is at least one more year for the LV before the revamp of the 16610.

Who knows..maybe the new sub will have a green option as well??

Jocke is absolutely right. But, I can easily see Rolex letting the LV ride out production until the Sub gets messed with, er excuse me, I mean, "improved".

No one really knows what Rolex will do, except Rolex. It may turn out to be a good thing...

Absolutely agree, I went into my AD on Friday and asked to go on his list fo the new Sub, getting in 2 Basels before its announced (I assume) but he wasn't sure there would be a new one, yes there is a new gold one with a ceramic bezel but not stianless steel, which was exactly the point of wanting to be no1 on his list - anyway I asked him to put my name down for the next LV, he says oh there's one in the window, I said yes but I want the next one after than, unless I come back in 12 months and you'vwe still got this one.

i personally can't see a green ceramic bezel being produced.
