Question On The Newer Presidential Bracelet
For those who have had one of the newer day date bracelets that have the solid links, I'd like to know if it's living up to expectations with the stretch, or hopefully lack thereof. Also, could someone tell me for sure what year they started making them this way (or serial letter). I thought it was K, but just want to make sure.

They started with "P" but not the all the "P" watches have them. Mid 2000 is when they are reported to have appeared.
I just got one, a "P" series (2001) but it has a "D"+ series band on it (2005+). I'm think about returning the watch because of it. I am sceptical however, that they will let me. I know the weight is about 30% heavier than a hollow band. Somewhere in this forum is a great post about the year of upgrades for DD. I can't find that post however.

Why take it back? I'd take a newer band in a heartbeat.

Because it's a marriage and I will always wonder why. The new flat blade is nicer to be sure.

I have a K series, and the solid links fixed the stretch problem of the older versions. Simply put, there is nothing left that can stretch.
I am completely satisfied with mine. |
