A very...pretty Tudor

http://cgi.ebay.com/Tudor-Oyster-Ora...d=p3286.c0.m14

This sure is a sweet, pretty-face, fake, Rolex-dialed Tudor .

He even put a disclaimer in the middle of his page in red stating:

NOTE: Although its dial has the word of ROLEX, it is Tudor Watch.

That's funny guys. It has THE WORD OF ROLEX ON IT.

We heard the word and, the word was ROLEX.

Hopefully E-Bay will take a position on the watches and stop listing them.

Most might be genuine, or fake as I don't really know. What is true is that there isn't a Rolex model called a Tudor, unlike a GMT, Datejust, Submariner etc. The Tudor dials are redialed to include Rolex to infer it is a Rolex watch, when it is in fact a Tudor watch manufactured by Rolex. It is done to hype the value of the watch and imply to those less informed that they are buying a Rolex. Many buyers do not know the difference between a Tudor, Rolex and the Rolex-dialed Tudors.

Check the archives as there is plenty there regarding these watches.

I just got into watches early this year. Unfotunately, the first watch I purchased was a 1978 Tudor with MOP Rolex dial on ebay for $960. Little did I know that the dial was fake. I wasted $960 on it. Anyway, now I know more and today I finally purchased a real 116201 black concentric dial with rose gold. I will probably find a real Tudor dial and replace the fake chinese crap. I will post photos of the TUDOR sometime so you guys can laugh....

Cheers
