Buddy Jeff Hess/Springer/Stan/Terry/SteveM/etc.what must be done on this GMT 16710???

Err buddies...this eBay PowerSeller - Interwatches is supposed to be quite reputable...

Anyone knows them well...?

There is an important issue about this listing of a 16710 GMT Master II...which is being listed by them...

On brief glance...the listing n the watch itself would seem to look alright...BUT on closer inspections...Orchi notices a major issue...NOT being described or disclosed by the Seller...

The 16710 GMT Master II said to be made in 1996...should NOT have the "GMT Master" plots on the Dial...it should have the "GMT Master II" plots...!(UNLESS if it is a 16700 GMT Master instead)

Also under 6 o'clock marker...a 1996 GMT Master II should have Tritium
"SWISS-T<25" marking...NOT "SWISS" which would be a Service Replacement Dial...

Could RSC have made such an error...when the watch was sent in for
servicing...???

Or did the watchmaker at the Seller's own establishment...made this blunder on their own...???

well that is odd,I am not really sure what to make of it..
I find it very hard to believe rolex would have blundered like that,and anyway I think the footing would not match..I will have to see what calibers where issued in those time periods.

They are reputable sellers. Without talking wih them, I'd say the back was changed with incorrectly and the watch is a 16700, but I don't see any lug shots of the model number.

There is also the possibility that this listing, or the photos were mixed up with another of his listings.

Err buddy Springer...yes the latter possibility comes to mind...

The watch movement would appear to be Cal.3185...which is correct for
Ref: 16710 GMT Master II...only.

A 16700 GMT Master would have...Cal.3175 movement.

Orchi, this is an interesting auction. I'm curious now myself. I'll have to give him a call Monday as I'm always up for another GMT in the stable. Maybe it is a rare, one-off variation.
