Vintage Rolex 9ct solid gold case - genuine or not?
Hi guys, I am thinking to buy this tiny beauty, but couple of things bother me:
1. No "Swiss made" on dial 2.No "Oyster" on dial 3. Brass crown ( not gold) 4. I don`t know - you suggest what else is not right if any. Thanks in advance. Your help is much appreciated. Is 800 GBP a good price for it? What is the movement inside? |

It's a Rebberg mvt. contracted to Rolex. Appropriate for the era. Looks like a 9 3/4 ligne size. If you could measure the size in MM I could tell you what ligne size it is...or you could google mm to ligne size conversion.
It's NOT an Oyster so it wouldn't say that on the dial. Dial has likely been refinished...which is why it doesn't say Swiss Made. Looks to have had some work done to one of the lugs. Not super collectible. Do you like it? Then it's worth whatever it costs within reason I suppose. It's a tough movement to find parts for and the balance staff is one of the toughest parts so don't drop it. |

The seller claims he bought it from the original owner.
