serial numbers and production dates

my friend has an I serial platinum presidents dd. what year was it made? he aquired it in 1999-2000. thanks

mmm- no such thing as an I serial - is it an L or maybe a 1 million series?

Rolex never made an "I" serial....ever.

also I forgot to say, if it is a 1 million series can you also give us the 2nd digit so we can give you the exact year

here is one of the better Rolex serial number/case manufacture date lists. Be advised that the serial number indicates when the case was manufactured, not when the watch was assembled or shipped.
