What will ROLEX introduce for Basil 09?
With the world in a state of economic mess lets look forward to an early Spring Day and Basil 09.
What do you think will be new for 09 from Rolex? Datejust II? Daytona II? Black saphire dials? New color crystals? or any other ideas or wishes?

I was at my AD's in London today and he thought that a newer Explorer model may be on the way. I don't think he had any inside info on it though he'd recently been to Rolex HQ, for a 'jolly'. The factory sounded amazing, he told me about the SD manufacturing and testing process, the scrap these things apart from the case back, if they fail the condensation test.

"I think", "I hope" "I wish".......
I know (well 99.99%) Rolex will bring out a TT Gold/Stainless Supercase Submariner.

I think it is going to be a small year for them. Alot of things changing. The TT sub should be released and maybe some more dial combos.

I am hoping they will introduce a 40mm YG/SS YM with a Black MOP dial!
I sincerely doubt it though! It would be way too much trouble and too rare and expensive for anyone to obtain.

I predict Rolex will perfect and introduce a bi-color ceramic bezel for the GMT IIc, in both Pepsi and Coke colors.

I'm still waiting for Marke to spill his guts since he originally started this thread last month before it was removed for controversial posts.

I wouldn't be suprised if they introduced the GMT IIc clasp on the YM. After all they have already replaced the Daytona clasp and th YM is probably the sports model who is least suited for the old "tin-can" clasp.

Agreed. I think it is going to be a subtle year for Rolex. I mean they can't introduce a new model every year can they?

I have some inside information....................................... .............................................
I heard they will bring out a Stainless steel watch with a black dial with a crown thingy called a Coronet? just under a little triangle glowing thing at 12 o'clock on the dial and it will have glowing dots at every other hour mark except 3 O'clock where there will be a window with a magnifier over it to show the date. It will also say Oyster Perpetual Date under that. Under the denter pivot for the hands it will read Submariner. It will be able to go under water to a depth of 1000ft. It will have a very attractive bracelet which they will also call the oyster. Please, Please don't tell anybody because I will be dog meat!!!! |
