Nice Rolex on a strap?

Hey guys,

Picked up a bluesy sub a few weeks ago and it's my daily wearer, love it.

Looking for something a little dressier to add to the collection, really want a watch on a strap. Does Rolex have any options like this?

If not, what brands would you recommend? Big concern is resale, I want something that will hold value.

I appreciate your help! thank you!

What kind of strap are you looking for? I can recommend that rubber straps are great. Look into brands like Everest or Rubber B. If you prefer a cleaner and sleeker look I would suggest Rubber B.

I think OP is looking for a whole new watch.

Day-Date, Sky Dweller, Daytona, and Yacht Master all have models with either leather or rubber straps.

Rubber B would be your way to go. They specialize in luxury watches but specifically Rolex.

Yes I am. I love my sub on the bracelet.

I will look at the Rolex site, but I want watches that come with factory leather straps.

I'd get a pre-owned Patek calatrava. Not sure on the model but certainly not the latest. The ones i'm talking off go for around 5.5-8k pre-owned.

Or a breguet, since they are taking a hit in resale values and can be picked up for great prices on the pre-owned market (sold a 5920bb and 5817ST and it hurt). 35.4mm classique case might be too small though. I'd like at least 37mm on a strap for a dress watch.

I have large wrists so not sure about 35mm, you say they have 37mm? That could work. The calatrava looks beautiful.

Just checked and the 5.5-8k ones are only 33mm's. Damn, guess you gotta spend 13-20k to get the newer 37mm model. For that coin i'd look for a patek worldtime.

Maybe a JLC master control to keep the costs more down to earth? I think that's 40mm's.

Love those. Now that I actually did a little bit of reading, the style I was actually looking at is something like a Royal Oak, lol silly me.

The RO's on a leather strap look incredible. Do you know if they come from the factory like this? Or any AP's on any material strap?

I feel like AP would hold value well too.

Nice Rolex on a strap?

Love the RO on a strap. Precious metal ones come on a strap, just the SS does not if i'm not mistaken. Pm's can also be ordered on their respective pm bracelet for +15-20k?

It's my grail also, i'd get one in a heartbeat if cost was not an issue.

I'd also look at them pre-owned. It would lose quite a bit when its time to resell... buying new at the dealer, more so then its bracelet counterpart.

The Cellini would be your best option I would say. If you don't think that a cellini fits you and you want to outsource your strap i would recommend Rubber B - they specialize in SWISS made rubber on different types of rolexes.

Check out Rubber B. They have a variety of straps for you to check out. Have had mine for a couple of years, no regrets here.

The only rolex I really like on a strap is the RG ceramic Daytona. Otherwise pretty much any PM Patek or AP Royal Oak will fit the bill

I'm Rubber B all the way. Great versatility in dressing it any way you would like.

Check out my full review if you are leaning towards the rubber side: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=557093
