The new Daytona clasp

I'd like to share some info I learned today about the new Daytona bracelet and clasp.

For one, the model number for the new Daytona bracelet and clasp is 78590.

Also, this is NOT the same identical bracelet and clasp that is found on the GMT IIC.

The bracelet on the GMT IIC is number 78200 and the clasp is different than the one on the 78590.

From what I was able to gather, the new Daytona bracelet and clasp are unique to the Daytona.

I had the opportunity to view the 78590 and 78200 side by side and they are definitely not identical.

I had some doubts whether or not both bracelets were exactly the same. Thanks for the info Felix.

As near as I could tell, the clasp on the Daytona is a little longer than the GMT and the pivoting spring portion of the pull area is different. I'll have a white dial Daytona with the new clasp on Thursday and I'll try and get some pic's up soon thereafter.

Felly - any chance that could impact the future value? Meaning could it increase the value, or will it just be an oversight down the road?

IMO, it's hard to say at this point, especially with the economy the way it is. I guess "time will tell".

Felly, this explains why you didn't show up today...

I'll be out from 11:30 til 2pm Thursday, if you're around my way stop in after 2 and we'll do some bracelet comparison photos...

Sorry John! I got buried with a few tasks that I couldn't just walk away from.

I'll have the new Daytona by 3PM tomorrow so if I can swing it I'll stop by after that.
