Link adjustment ?
I’m wondering would it be worthwhile to drive back to AD for link removal and adjustment or should I do it? It looks very simple however the loktite issue is of a concern. I’ve adjusted and removed links from other watches in the past but this isn’t a “other watch”. The AD is approx an hour each way from my home. Should have had it adjusted before leaving store but it felt great (of course) and I wanted to wear it, as I’m sure you folks have felt the same. It seems as though one link removal will do the trick nicely. Thanks in advance for your input.

This really is one of those things that only you can be judge of...if your not mechanical and/or dont have the proper driver/tools...? Some people size their own bracelets (some on this forum) and disfigure the screwheads in the links, then state how ‘easy’ it is to do and that ‘anyone can do it’. LOL. Similar to a neighbor that takes his 911 through the local gas station car wash (with brushes)...some have an eye for detail and some others never will - or simply dont care.

Yes, I concur regarding the 911. It's simply a matter of feeling comfortable with it, to which I am not. I've seen the pictures of butchered bracelets and I'm not going down that path. I'm fairly confident that the proper tools are a 100% necessity. Has anyone done there own? Any tips or words of wisdom?

You can handle it. Go ahead and use a blow dryer and soften the Loctite. And have a screwdriver that is appropriate for Rolex screws: 1.6mm hollow ground. Good luck!

Thanks! Just did it, painless and looks perfect! The main takeaway here, gotta have the right tool. Period. And be patient. Thanks All!

Maybe im just paranoid but i would drive back. Knowing me, my watch would get a scratch or even get dinged if i tried to do it.
If you know how to do it and have the right tools go for it. |

Patience and the right tool are a must. Oh and a few you tube tutorials are in order as well. Not a scratch, nick, nada. Putting the extra link in a little envelope and back in the green box. No worries.
