Help me check my watch
Hey I'm very much a watch newbie, and I recently got a watch from my late grandfather. It's a yellow gold and diamonds watch but it's in a safe currently.
A friend of mine, after seeing it says that it has a possibility to be a fake with how it's shaped. I would like for you guys to check it out and point any oddities maybe. And as I said, it's in a safe not with me currently in another country ( I moved, my family is taking care of it ) so I'm not able to bring it to a local Rolex HQ for a check. So, gather up and help this noob here :D Thank you guys! rolex2.jpg rolex3.jpg rolex1.jpg |

Oh extra info: it's dated 1969. The design closest I could find online was the Tiffany & Co. collaboration design. But mine doesn't bear the T&C writings so it's weird. Also black time markers. :(((

Nice heirloom. Seems to be real enough.

This is probably a highly modified Rolex. Much of the case and dial could be original. The diamonds are definitely not.

The oxidation on the tritium lume looks pretty dated and authentic.

Diamonds appear to be factory set and pristine in quallity. I know a Rolex diamond when I see one!

I think those may be factory set diamonds. Very nice somewhat rare dial imho. Rare dials can add a lot of value to these day dates.
