something loose inside

I have a vintage, no date oyster perpetual mens Rolex. I'm guessing that it is from 70's, possibly earlier. The watch keeps perfect time, but there seems to be something loose & rattling inside. It's definitely not the bracelet, but something inside.
Does anyone know what it can possibly be and could it be something damaging?
...thanks

When you shake it, you'll hear a click click which is normal. This is different on the Daytona where you should hear a swirling sound

Automatic watches are still wind up watches except the rotor acts as the winding mechanism. You can still wind it by hand. could be the rotor.

the bottom line is: take it to a watchmaker and have it looked at.

It is likely that the rotor axle is worn down and the rotor is wobbling and hitting against the top of the movement plates..

Pretty common...easy fix....
