Screwed or Not???

So I finally bought a Daytona and I found myself using my Omega Speedy Mark II Co-Axial more than the Daytona. One of the reason is because of the easy access of the timer start/stop rest buttons on the Speedy. Than it hit me that I don't need to keep the locks on the buttons on the Daytona screwed down unless I'm in water. So the question for Daytona wearers is whether or not you keep your pushers locked (screwed tight) or loosened (unscrewed)?

It's still WR in water even with the pusher locks unscrewed. Just don't push them while submerged.

I wouldn't like the prospect of knocking a Daytona with the pushers loose.

I don’t plan on swimming with my Daytona and if I did, I’d probably screw down the pushers because I almost never screw down the pushers

If it took me as long to open my zipper as it does to get the Daytona ready for use if the pushers are secured then I might do away with a zipper all together.

So you'd think the Daytona is more fragile then say a Speedmaster which doesn't have locks on its pushers? Makes sense as the Speedy was chosen for space travel. Of course I try not to knock any of my watches.

Split.
If you intend to use the timer frequently (and are able to read it) then leave them open, no harm

I don't have a Daytona, but I do have a THC.

Keeping the pushers screwed down on such a watch diminishes the spontaneity with which the watch can be used for its chronograph functions.

Besides, as has already been noted, doing so is unnecessary to maintain the watch's water-resistance under normal circumstances.

Well, if you are going to use the chrono function, you only have to unscrew the top pusher. This really doesn't take long. Unscrew the lower later when you are ready to reset.

Yep.

I use the chronograph function decently often - just yesterday in fact, to time a hike my gf and I did. I'm never in a "rush" to start timing something, so the ~2sec it takes to unscrew the top pusher doesn't ruin anything.

Daytona FTW

Screwed down, also do no like how the pushers look unscrewed so that would bug me to look at constantly.

I had a pusher on an omega dynamic fall off after about 10 years, so I keep mine screwed in unless I am using it.
