Charlotte, NC AD Recommendations
Working on purchasing my first. For those in the area, do you recommend Windsor, Fink's, another grey market or used dealer? Do you get them out of Spartanburg, SC and have them shipped to save cost?

I exclusively deal with Demetre in Charleston, SC for new.
I'm a pre-owned dealer in the same city. |

Speak to Ginger at Windsor. Very polite, down to earth, professional and no pressure.

Windsor is an awesome store. I also like they have IWC which is another one on the list. My only hesitation is the assumption that with brands like Patek, JLC, Panerai, etc. that I'll always be a small fish no matter what I buy. I'll never be VIP but I will continue to buy a piece every 2-3 years or so. I just want an AD relationship that will appreciate my business, treat me fairly, and be courteous. Willingness to deal doesn't hurt either. I was just curious if this is easier with Windsor, Fink's, or somewhere else.

The folks at Finks are always nice, knowledgeable and willing to let me try on anything. I find them reluctant to discount.
There is a place in Charlotte that is well known and respected for previously owned Rolexes... unfortunately the name escapes me. Southeast Charlotte location. Darn my feeble memory.

I was in the Balyntine area and stopped an AD in a shopping mall. (south park mall?) I forgot the name of the place.
I thought the selection was poor. However I was rushed due to the people I was with. |

I used to buy from Smithworks in Spartanburg until Seth left. After that, they have been....well, I just don’t have anything nice to say so I’ll say nothing. I’ve bought two from Ben at Windsor. Awesome to deal with. My buddy in Spartanburg made the switch to Ben as well.
