AP Diver with a Suit?

I am highly considering a 42mm AP Diver. I wear a suit almost daily. Is it acceptable to wear this watch with a suit? What about a tuxedo?

If it makes a difference, I am about 6'2'', 200lbs with a 6 3/4 to 7" wrist.

Post pics of you in a suit with your AP Diver!

I rarely wear a suit but I've worn my SS diver with one on occasion. You can also put it on a bracelet or leather strap to dress it up. I did have my left shirt cuff made larger to fit over my watches. I prob wouldnt wear it with a Tux. That would be reserved for my 15305or on leather.

A very good friend of mine wears his Diver on a hornback strap and wears this with a business suit on a daily basis. At first he was concerned that clients might think it was flash but he’s actually had positive comments. He also has a gold Patek that he very rarely wears.

I don’t see a problem with wearing this watch with a suit.

Alex (hairdude) had a killer shot of himself suited up with his diver on bracelet. If he sees this maybe he will share.

It is not advised to wear a watch with a tux but who cares really. I wore a seadweller with mine for my wedding.

I wear mine on a survivor strap. I wear suits occasional but I wear it daily with dress pants and dress shirts with sweaters or a sport coat

Yes, I wear my 44 to nice dinners so a 42 is no problem.

On this thread other guys wore theirs too.

I have worn a ROO with a suit before, but ultimately didn't love the way it looked. With a suit, a 15400 looked nicer. With a tux, there is no way I'd wear a ROO, but have worn a RO with a tux before.

Suit - yes. I wear my CE Diver with a suit from time to time, and it is OK, though the SS Diver would work better. I wear my ROO 42 on steel with a suit regularly and think it works well (and don’t care if anyone disagrees with me on that )

Tuxedo - I wouldn’t wear a Diver with formal wear

I have a small 61/3 wrist, wearing rubber strap doesnt fit under cuffs that good as the rubber doesnt hug wrist that well as bracelet. With bracelet its ma ma mia fantastico !

Diver on bracelet is my most formal piece now, which may be superseded in future by the quintessential black dress watch on leather strap.

The chunkier black diver has a beautiful 3D look to it that is not so evident in the flatter ROs, imo. Otherwise ROs are dressier hands down I guess? Depends if you want to add more presence or masculinity to it as well, then diver

Suit yes. Preferable with a bracelet, alternatively a non-hornback alligator strap

Tuxedo no. I do not think that it would fit at all

Not for me, if your going to dress up suit and tie or tux especially I think it's a little lazy to just throw on a very sports oriented watch. Personal preference of course and you should wear what makes you feel good. If you are a sports agent in Beverly Hills wearing suits daily it's a different story. If I was wearing a tux to a special occasion I would want to pair it with a dress watch if my funds allowed me to own one.

Wasn't lazy in my case it was thought out as I wanted a worry free evening in a palatial dining room so strapped on my ceramic bezel and rubber strap over my other two full gold pieces, and had the best dining experience of my life up to that point.
