FSOT Rolex GMT Master II 16760 Fat Lady, circa 1987-1988, Original, unpolished Condition.

Offering a pristine, preowned Rolex GMT II 16760 Fat Lady. Unlike so many of these aging 16760’s, the Tritium Dial is remarkable with beautiful light patina markers. The crystal is original Rolex with the crown etched at 6 O’clock. Bracelet has 13 links very little stretch, a replacement by Rolex in 2007, with correct clasp code 78360 and 501 end pieces. Owner added one link from his submariner to fit his wrist. Watch has very nice thick lug bevels, and as evident from the tiny case holes, hasn’t been polished much, if ever. Timed for a week to COSC (approx. +4-5 secs)!

If you didn’t know, the GMT-Master II 16760 sported a thicker case, a wider bezel, and larger crown guards than its predecessors. Also called, “Sophia Loren”, the 16760 was the first GMT II, the first to use a sapphire crystal, first to have an independent center hour hand, and first to use white gold markers.
