116515 LN leather strap Help Needed on how to convert to gold strap or aftermarket?
Hello,
I have have a Rolex Daytona Rose Gold with the black leather strap Model 116515LN ASIN: B0079GD2QM. I went to the Rolex store, since I wanted to change it to a gold strap, since the leather Strap does not last long. I was shocked when they told me that my model can only fit a leather straps. Can anyone please tell me how to convert this particular watch so I can install a Metal/Gold Strap? Is there anyone which sells or knows off an aftermarket place or store which sells straps that fit that model? I live in Los Angeles. All your help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks David |

Any strap will fit the case just as any other watch, the exception is at the clasp. Rolex straps are made to accept their particular clasp, and that is re-used with every new strap. Get a strap with it's own clasp/buckle and you are good to go.
To convert to a bracelet you need to pull the bezel and remove the gap-inserts underneath. Return the bezel and you can then put on a bracelet. Because the strap is simply between the case and clasp with no real wear areas, they should easily last a couple of years. Unless you are into really exotic straps, they're no more expensive than a good pair of shoes..
