Twin incoming. Bipolar and diagnostic.

So I had the chance to pick both up at great price since always intrigued by those really nice wrist shot for both. And not to mentioned, I’m sucker for white dial. So here it is, newer Gen 216570 G series and last Gen 16570-3186 Y series, on my 6.5” wrist.

I won’t go into comparison details as this topic has been beaten to death but just want to contribute my 2c for ppl with small wrist like mine.

First up, the 16570-3186 Y-series.
+ Damn comfortable due to lightness of the watch. Just melt away.
+ Case profile as is porportional as it can be unlike supercase.
+ Dial and hands layout is more porportional compared to 216570.
+ Late series come with Superluminova and lume not as bad as expected. It glow all night past 8 hours.
+ 20mm lug width, straps monster.
+ 5 digits Rolex has vintage charm.
+ Price is still relatively low compared to 16710, 16610LV, etc. Great value at $3-4k as solid reliable beater.
+ Discontinued, price can only go one way.
- One permenant link to be removed on 6 o’clock as old clasp has one link fixed on it, apply for all 5-digits I had previously. I keep 4 links on 6 o’clock for all my Rolex.

Next up, G series 216570.
+ First impression is the luxurious, superbly engineered piece of watch/tool.
+ Rolex modern bracelet with Easylink. Best bracelet IMHO, even over RO 15400 bracelet.
+ Superb visibility and at 42mm, can even work as table clock lol
+ Crazy lume that torch all night.
+ Bezel polish is very unique, radial finish effect.
+ A purpose built sport watch with design to match. That orange hand!
+ Big crown easy to operate.
= Borderline size on 6.5” wrist.
- 21mm lug width and bracelet taper to 18mm at clasp.
- Weight is noticible even with great fit but not as much as SubC or SDC.

Thanks guy. I will only be keeping one, however. I’m partial to the right however the new Polar is great too.

“Bipolar”. Ha! Love it. Like you I have 6.5 in wrists and find the 6 digit model to be “borderline”

Wow! Well played. I'm partial to the 42mm, but I agree the 40mm makes a hell of a beater. Prices are on the rise on both. Wish I would have picked one up a year ago when the prices were lower.

Congrats x 2!

Great pictures & you can really see the differences in size next to each other . I'm not sure which one I would keep as both are lovely watches , so you've a bit of a difficult choice to be made if your only keeping one.

After putting this on, I finally understand what’s the hype with 16570.
