Which should I choose for a one and only Rolex?
Over the past year or so, I've been through several Rolex models looking for "the one" that I can wear for 20-25 years and pass down to my son when he's at the right age. But I haven't quite been able to settle on one -- they all are so tempting and I couldn't resist at least test driving them all at some point
Below are the wrist shots of each of them (do not currently own all, only have the 114270 and 116200 at the moment). I'm looking for something that's versatile enough to wear to the office but on the weekends playing rough with the kids as well. If you had to pick just one for the next two decades to wear everyday and to every event, which would you go with? Feel free to suggest a write-in vote as well |

Sub no date two liner 14060 or Pepsi GMT 16710. Or Explorer I based on your current line up.

After owning some of the larger watches, I personally find 36mm to be the best everyday watch, because it stays out of the way and is lightweight. Aesthetically, I prefer the 114270, but I'd probably keep the DJ, because I need a date complication.

I would pick the 14060M and looking at the pictures you have posted I think that suits you the best.......but it is highly unlikely that you will be able to stick with just one watch so keep it simple and opt for the one you like most......chances are you will buy/sell others over the next 25 years!! Good luck with your decision.

16710 with all 3 bezel inserts (black, blue/red, black/red) + oyster and a jubi.
So you got many watches in one :-) |

14060 looks best on you. Closely followed by the blnr and Exp I.

I know it is not on the list I would go with the olive dial oyster perpetual with the orange accents. You obviously are an extrovert with those colourful tattoos and the colours of the dial would match them perfectly.

IMHO, the oyster band doesn't suit your tattoo's. But, the sub and explorer would look pretty good on a nato or leather strap on your wrist. Your call at the end of day.

I voted BLNR even though it's not my favorite color GMT. The 6-digit GMT is hard to beat overall.

I think the Explorer is the best choice. It’s the most versatile and a classic.

The BLNR will win the poll due to being one of the latest fad watches, but the Explorer and Submariner are timeless. The Explorer probably being the most versatile of the two.
