Dream Rolex Collection

Good morning TRFers. Happy 4th of July! For all of you that have served, thank you so much for your service! It allows fools like me to post these types of 1st world threads.

I have a very deliberate 4-Rolex dream collection that I am pursuing over time. Each purchase is tied to a personal and/or business goal. I purchased both the LVc and the CHNR already. My AD is trying to line up the DaytonaC for me sometime late this year/early next year. Long term is the Rolex grail...the DayDate. Although I have the blue one shown here, there are so many stunning options for this watch, I haven't really settled on it yet.

If money weren't an object, I would love to add an AP and Patek to the mix, but for purposes of this thread, the dream collection is Rolex specific.

What about you guys? What is your dream Rolex collection?

Sea = LVc
Air = BLNR
Land = 228235 (the RG olive dial DD).

Two down, one to go......

Those four would make for a very nice collection. I would probably go with a similar theme, (with a few substitutions)...

July 4th was the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Indepepence, actually it was July 2nd in 1776 that Congress actually voted to succeed from The Great British Empire. It was on a Tuesday so I’m not sure why they declared it on July 4th. I always wondered why ?

Now, the Constitution, was mainly formatted for separation of the 3 powers of government. Executive Branch ( president ) The legislative Branch (Congress) and The Judicial Branch (Supreme Court and other Federal Courts) and there’s been 27 amendments ratified since. It can take many years to add an amendment.

The Bill of Rights are the 1st 10 amendments, in a nut shell are all about us, the citizens and ratified all at once a few years after the Constitution was ratified.

The 1st amendment gives you the right to free speech to ask questions and redress your government without fear of punishment. There is no right to free speech on a private forum, they usually set their own policies. You can on a public forum, public owned land or buildings though, run by local, state and federal government. ( in most instances anyway ) everyday we should celebrate the men who fought for these rights..

So Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies and regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and were no longer part of the British Empire. Unbelievable what they put in the Constitution too, in a good way.

And those are 4 great Rolex watch’s to set your goal for although I’d add a 16710 to it

* I could be missing some things but gives you an idea why we have a July 4th

AWESOME!!! That is what I would consider to be the perfect Rolex collection! I'd seriously consider the Olive dial for the DD but would need to see it in person. I have to imagine its absolutely beautiful in person. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Seriously, seeing all 4 of those on your wrist got be all pumped up! Happy 4th!

Very inspiring pic for our friend!

I think with the LVc a blue dial DD is the right move, if you don't have one.

i think that's an amazing collection. The only thing i'd change for myself is making the gmt fully rose gold.

At this moment, I have what I wanted: 116500LN, 116710LN, 116610LV

In regards to GMT: I should have waited for 126710BLRO or 116710BLNR. But I am happy with my 116710LN :)

But looking forward to add 1-2 Pateks in near future
.

I love so many.... but to keep it to what I think is a wearable (easier daily decision) collection....I’m going with this Rolex lineup...pretty much covers everything....metal choice, color choice, bezel choice, bracelet choice, 5 digit/6 digit, etc... :)

Thanks man. You really picked a well rounded goal - I really love all four. I feel you need a sub, gmt, Daytona, and Dd are the perfect varied bunch. Looks like we’d execute on the same picks. Here are better pics

Great choice.

For me the white Daytona and SS BLRO are the only two missing and once collecting them I am pretty sure I don't need any more Rolex.

I like your picks a lot. Maybe only watch I’d change is to swap the blue day date for the YG black dial day date with Romans. Ref # 228238. That is a super clean watch.

But get what you like sir!!!

If I was starting with Rolex today, I'd buy a single 1600 with a black dial and wear it for absolutely everything. I don't like messing with lots of watches to switch between, and I like the idea of one watch being with me through it all.
