Do I need to declare buying a Rolex second hand?

Hello, recently I purchased a second hand Rolex from a friend including box, papers etc., do I need to tell Rolex in order to update their records and for my warranty as it's only one year old

Also is this required in order to get insurance for the watch?

Any UK insurer recommendations?

No need to. The watch is insured no matter who the owner is...

It would be cost effective to add th watch to your existing homeowners or personal articles insurance policy at the MSRP for replacement value.

On your warranty, just keep your papers and bill of sale from your friend in a safe place just in case the watch needs warranty service.

I took a separate policy for mine. Accidental and also insured international too.
I went with RIPE. Also in the UK. Think its like £8 a month.

Not for buying a second hand. However, if you decide to purchase the minute or hour hands....yes, you would need to disclose. Haha!

It's double the price if I insure it under my name, as opposed to my dad's .. but immediate family are covered so may as well do it under his name
