Tudor date day: changes day/date 70 secs. early

Recently got a Tudor Date Day from Hong Kong ( new ) - warranty card 2018.

This is my 1st high end watch.

I love hearing and watching the crispness of the date/day changing.

But I notice the date / day change about 80 secs. early.
@ 11:58 . 50 secs.

Thats because its mechanical and not electronic, most all mechanical movements are the same all brands, some change a little before some after, all normal.

Really?

I assumed with a watch of this quality that the date/day change would be @ exactly 12:00.

But I guess not....

Is this something my Tudor watchmaker can adjust to be more accurate to 12:00?

If this is pretty accurate what time do non-accurate watches change?

I thought I saw a video about "TGV" talking about his changing @ exactly 12:00?

I don't know of a Rolex that changes dates exactly at 12:00, although I'm sure there are some that do. As Padi said, these are mechanical machines, not digital robots. If you see a date change exactly at midnight it has more to do with luck than anything else.

For Rolex the tolerance is 23:59-00:02, Tudor and other brands have much larger allowed window.

I've applied countless hands on Rolex watches and getting it exactly on 00:00 is hard, the play between teeth in gears can be enough to offset it by half a minute or more, even though you applied them perfectly...

Your tudor changes more accurately than many DD40 Rolex's including mine which changes at 00:05am

Enjoy the watch there is no mechanical watch that changes exactly at midnight.

I have had 5 Rolex with a date and never got a change at 00:00.

I've just looked at my 16618: it changed 15 seconds before midnight and I find it great for a mechanical watch.

I have a hard time understanding why one would care as long as the correct date is right in the morning.
