Hello from New Hampshire
Wanted to take a few minutes and introduce myself.
After college - I was traveling to Japan and I purchased a couple of Seiko's that were new Japan models not yet available in the USA. Worked for me, but I would kill them in just a few years. Every day for me is a bit of a task for my watch. I have always worn a watch from the time I was a teenager. I bought my first Rolex while traveling in New England in 1994 - a 16220 SS with a white stick dial. I was working at my second job and I had always wanted a Rolex so I bought it. Loved the DJ with a Jubilee band and a fluted dial. Life started happening and I wore my DJ every day and picked up a cheap weekend watch to spare my Rolex from Saturday stuff. The DJ was on it's 3rd service and I decided that white dial wasn't as easy to see so (don't hate) when I sent it in to the RSC for service had them add a black stick dial, new hands, and change out the dinged up crystal. Came back looking good and now I am a black dial guy. Never was looking for value - these will be my kids watches for their life as well. Fast forward 25 years and my kids are grown - so I started channeling my inner watchaholic. Over that span of 5 years - I purchased a Titanium Breitling Chronometer, a Tag Aquaracer, and 3 years ago an Omega Rose Gold Seamaster. That watch combo was working for me until about 3 months ago when I made the mistake of going to an AD and looked at a White PM Sub (of course PM - SS watches no longer exist) and I really liked the Glidelock bracelet. This of course led to the need to find me a SS Sub. PM would have been great but I wasn't into the weight or the price. I started in earnest looking for a 116610 and I ended up with a 2015 that ultimately came from San Diego. I sold the Tag which was now redundant, and virtually anything else that was a toy, and not tied to the floor. I now have had the Sub for about a month now and love it. Thanks for reading - I have been enjoying the forum and look forward to many good days ahead. Cheers.
