First Rolex - Submariner - GTA wait list?!
First post and incoming first Rolex purchaser.
Looking to purchase the stainless steel black Rolex submariner date and there seems to be a minimum of 1 year waiting list on this in the GTA! Raffi at Yorkdale isn't even taking orders or waitlist - they just brushed me right off ... could not be bothered, ha. Is anyone who is looking finding the same? Haven't even tried the watch on (for obvious reasons of no stock!) but just LOVE this iconic watch. Can't wait!! Any recommended AD to put name down?? Thanks everyone |

I would try Humbertown. Excellent service. Not sure what they currently have in stock or wait times for non-stock, but the service is exceptional

Go to every AD within a reasonable distance IN PERSON and talk to them and let you know your situation. Otherwise they probably pretend to write your info down and chalk you up as somebody that just called everywhere trying to find one.

I was just at Royal de Versailles on Bloor st. at about 3:30. They seem to have just got a shipment. I bought a Sub no date, right next to me was a kid buying a BLNR GMT II in the case was at least 1 GMT and what looked like either a Sub-Date or a Sea-Dweller. I wasn’t too interested in looking too hard because I was focussed on my sub.
If you are lucky they might still have one in stock when they open tomorrow, but when these watches get to the store they disappear pretty fast. |

Welcome It appears the demand is higher than supply, so you will have to work a little to find one. Good luck and don't settle!

I did the same thing back in April on an SD43. Watch was on my wrist 4 months later. Had an excellent experience with them too |

Just try to make sure that your contact info was actually put on a list... I gave my name and phone number to an AD with expectation that I was going to be put on a "list" but I didn't feel at all comfortable until I came back later to confirm that I was actually written down. I'd come by every few weeks and sometimes they would show me the list binder, and names would eventually be crossed off.

Here's what you do. Get on list. Pop in every third week of the month... That's when deliveries land. You may be on the list with others, but sometimes its just good relationships and timing...bird in the hand...yadda yadda...
Good luck!

Check out the new Raffi flagship location in Cambridge. I was there last week trying on the new OP39 white and I believe I saw a Sub (not sure if it was date/no date) in the case.

La difference had an OP39 Black and White not too long ago. A buddy of mine also picked up a sub no date from there.
Times are tough around the AD. Like many other suggest, keep calling, making regular visits. I was fortunate to pop by the store and saw both OPs and a GMT LN on the floor when I walked in and got a chance to try on all 3. That was a few weeks back. |

I was at the Raffi flagship store in Cambridge yesterday and they had a sub no date in the display case. Go talk to Chris. Very cool store.
