Made my dads day

My folks came over for the Jewish holidays this evening.

As always, my father and I talked watches.

Without going into a ton of detail my dad tells me again that his favorite watch is the explorer 2 polar. So I went upstairs, got mine, and gave it to him.

It’s one of my all time favorites, but nothing better than seeing it on him.

He took off the YG DD2 I gave him a few years ago and strapped this puppy right on. It was like watching a kid at Christmas.

His health isn’t good these days, so this was a really great moment.

Watches have always been a connector for us. One of the reasons I love them so much.

That is an excellent gift and a great gesture. I'm sure he appreciates more than he can show you!

Funny you mention that, my father's favorite Rolex of mine is my white dial Explorer II. He owns a two tone Submariner Date he'd never take off, but if he did purchase a modern Rolex, the Explorer II would be it.

Beautiful moment. Lost mine many moons ago. What I wouldn’t do for a memory like yours.

On another note, I would totally trade my polar for a YG DD2
