Advice on 5 digit sub
Been contemplating picking up a 14060 for awhile.
A couple of options currently on the market; which one do you guys think would be the best example to go with of the following choices based condition? I am not in a hurry My strong preference is tritium dial #1 https://www.lunaroyster.com/watches/...um-dial-patina #2 https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/...er-14060-A1121 #3 https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/...ce-papers-A886 #4 https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/...d-papers-A1046 #5 Wait it out for better condition / price / preferred specs. |

Thanks for your input. Whats your thought process for #4?
What about it the two tritium options? Do any of these examples look overpolished? |

I vote for number 4, the reason.......I like box & papers.
PS I have a y serial 14060, got it in 2010, great watch.

Anything tritium I prefer if you want patina in the pip and lumes in the future, if not get number 4 if you want it to stay white...

It would definitely be awesome / ideal to have a full set; but am jonesin for the tritium dial for the patina / future patina. I haven't seen many 14060 tritiums with box/papers... Even looking back through HQ milton sold inventory there aren't a ton.

If you can go with a non tritium version - Chase is good people too.

Just get a tritium one and dont settle for less or you will regret buying it... You already made up your mind... Its not a big deal if there is no box and papers...

I like the idea of box and papers too but that's just me - you have to go with what you like.

#4 if you opt for a 2 liner.

A few months ago, I picked up an unworn 14060M from 2010. I prefer the 4-liners for some odd reason. Love this watch. Has quickly become my fav.
Good luck. |

#4 is getting lots of votes!
Seems like most folks prefer 2 liner luminova over tritium? At least in this thread |

Naive question. Why you do not pick up a 6 digit?

I started with a 114060, then got to try a 5 digit and man.....the comfort level is noticeable due to weight for me. Traded the 114060 for my 14060M within a week. Plus drilled lugs. |

I sold my 114060 but to replace it w a unpolished 4 liner 2007 Sub complete w B&P, I grew partial to the 5 digit lineup also. Unfortunately after purchasing mine from a reputable dealer on here it needed servicing so I left it w Rikki to take care of.

As suggested previously, sounds like you want the tritium and that’s important if you want to get patina over time. For me, I like having the modern lume at night and I like the 4-liner. B&P are important to me, too. But this is not about me; it’s got to be your call! What sings to you? Happy hunting.🤙

Once I knew it was a keeper I sent it on to get serviced anyways. Piece of mind. |
