2nd to Submariner

Hi there ,
mentioned earlier that I am a new owner of a submariner no date.
actually little more than a month.

I want to add one more watch,
lets not call it a collection but guess I will be fine with 2 watches ( actually,I do have also a TagHeuer daydate ).

appreciate if you guys can recommend a 2nd watch for me up to usd10000

I would choose between a GMT BLNR or a Sub LVc.

Might I suggest a dress watch? As the sub will more than likely be your “daily?”

With that budget the possibilities are endless. Give us some more to go on, what style are you looking for?

A datejust will be a great option like many will suggest here. I would get something that looks completely different from the sub just to have a variety.

I'd suggest a speedmaster FOIS to compliments a sub date

So many options esp if you like the dress watch option!

Within Rolex, a DJ41 would be great. Outside of Rolex... oh boy... take a look at some JCL MUT, or Glashutte Original Senators or Pano lines!!

Overall, if you want a 2 watch collection then I'd say something very different than your Sub would be great - which means that a GMT would be out of the question for me.

If you can get a BLRO or BLNR @ retail, that's my thought.

If not, the DJ41 or OP are good choices as well.

Depends on its use:

Casual: Explorer 2
Work/Casual: Explorer 1
More flashy Work/Casual: GMT Master BLNR
Not a Rolex, Rolex: Tudor BB58
Like to Moonlight at the Bingo Halls or Country Clubs: DJ41 -fluted

None of the above watches are limited to those scenarios, just my choices in such scenario

I think a nice compliment to a subC is the BLNR if you want to stay within Rolex.

You already got a Sub. Dont get another sub - to double up on a tiny collection is a waste imho. Plenty of other brands and Rolex models to choose from.

As suggested get a DJ41 fluted bezel. The Datejust is an iconic Rolex as much as a sub is.

the DJ41 flueted bezel is already on my radar.
since I am looking not for a huge collection ( which will 2 expensive ) I think it is a bette idea not to have another Sub. version.

I am also a fan of Panerai.
difficult to decide

thanks for your coments

Go for DJ but not in black to have even more versatility. Choose dark rodium and you still have room for a white dialed Rolex in your collection.

Actually my advice is to wear your sub almost every day for at least 6 months and see how you get along. Then assess adding to your collection.

Maybe something with a little vintage and colorful flair to it. The 16710 with some different inserts would be perfect IMPO.
