which datejust?

Hi all, thanks in advance for the feedback. I have narrowed down my latest purchase to a datejust 36mm black concentric arabic. I definitely want the fluted dial, my only question is jubilee vs oyster. I definitely like the jubilee on vintage datejust but since this is a little more sporty i'm on the fence. My collection doesn't have a jubilee band if that matters (birth year 1984 16800 sub and 16710 gmt pepsi). Ive attached pics of both. Thanks in advance.

I think depends on the bezel. Fluted bezel fits jubilee bracelet than oyster for me.

You like it, and you don't have one - so I say go jubilee.

I say go with the oyster. That dial has a sporty feel to me so oyster fits better.

Normally I would say jubilee with a fluted bezel but the dial you have chosen Is really modern so I think the oyster is more appropriate.

For that dial I would go oyster for sportier look.

Jubilee fits the stick hour markers better.

With fluted bezel I would go Jubilee, and in general I would also go Jubilee because I think it has a better fit then Oyster and I love the hidden clasp.

Normally I prefer a jubilee paired with a fluted bezel, but with this dial, I prefer the oyster bracelet.

I find the fluted bezel goes better with the jubilee.

I agree with this ... but would add that a domed bezel with the oyster would possibly pair better with this particular dial as it has a more sporty face than the classic face I'd normally associate with the DJ.

I think the oyster looks better with the Arabic dial. However, if your oyster bracelet will fit the datejust then get the jubilee version and you could swap them out whenever you want. I do this with my 1500 every few weeks.

I have the same watch in blue. I went oyster and love it! I wear it everyday in casual wear but it dresses up wonderfully.

I like to go by the fluted bezel/ jubilee and sooth bezel / oyster rule. However, with this particular dial, I'd go with an oyster bracelet. Needs a sporty look

I would pick jubilee because I think it suits the Datejust better. I also really like the elegance of jubilee.

It’s only red on odd days, black on even. It’s actually pretty fun! Agree on jubilee too.
