Request for Information
I am planning to purchase a new Rolex in Amsterdam, and wear back to US. But I am having significant difficulty reading the tables to determine the amount of customs and duty I need to pay when I return. The watch costs approximately $10,000. I realize this question has been asked before, but I can't find a current answer--I only want the approximate cost so I can be ready when I reenter the country.

all that really matters is VAT free and then adding import fees you are way ahead of US retail+ sales tax

Thank you both for replying. Understand that after the free allowance ($800) that I will be taxed at 3% on balance (in this case 3% of $9,200), but what is the IRT Internal Revenue Tax. I will be purchasing watch for personal use and will be wearing it.
