116619LB (Smurf) Color Variation
Does anyone know if Rolex updated the dial/bezel colors on the 116619LB (Smurf)? I was on the Rolex website and it looks like the watch bezel and dial are more of a a darker navy blue than the royal blue I have seen over the years. Has anyone purchased a new one lately that can post a picture?

I wish this were true. The Sub line needs more color variations. Hoping for more choices in 2019.

I thought the Smurf was the last Sub with a lacquered (non sunburst) blue dial? Maybe thats what you're seeing? I may be wrong, but thought I had heard that.

I agree, pictures of the Smurf look like the dial is more of a sunburst blue rather than the flat blue it use to be. I haven’t seen one in a while.

I consulted the Magic 8-Ball and it said,
"Outlook is Good" So, at the very least, we have that going for us...

It shows many shades of blue depending on the lighting conditions, never boring

Agreed. Digital renderings are lifeless and a poor way to evaluate many aspects of a watch. Besides, the Smurf is going on 11 years old, and a movement upgrade is imminent. I don't foresee see any cosmetic changes to any of the Sub models prior to the update.

Every time I see the dark blue I think “ wow, that’s kinda tight, I really like it” .
Then I realize it, it is the same watch I currently have on. Jeez. |
