Rolex Daytona two tone yg?
Hello everyone,
I have been waiting patiently for Rolex Daytona Cerachrom with black dial for over two years. I have never purchased a watch from a grey market dealer before but my special birthday is fast approaching. Would you buy Daytona black dial Cerachrom from grey? I can get from AD a Rolex Daytona two tone yg with white dial, which is also extremely nice. Would you buy from grey market dealer or buy two tone from AD? Any input would be greatly appreciated 😁 |

It depends on how desperate you want the SS Daytona C. Personally I would never pay for grey prices.
The TT Daytona is very nice however I’ve seen one in my local AD which already had some minor scratches on the bezel already. |

I would opt for the TT, though with a different dial, champagne or black.

The tt Daytona is a great value. It’s market value is less than the SS model. Black dial tt is tops IMO.
Yes, you could get an oysterflex pm for a bit more than SS on the grey market, but if I’m paying 25k+ for a Rolex it better have a pm bracelet. |

I think the champagne dials on TT watches look especially nice

I would not feel that it's a mistake buying a TT YG Daytona. It is definitely a purchase that yields great value.

I agree with the champagne dial, that on a Daytona may be the only TT I would consider.

Perhaps evaluate your choices and pick another brand, another watch.
They are trying hard to make Rolex exclusive, the truth is it is now common. |

No, nothing dodgy is going on. I turned 49 on October 8, 2018 and I turn 50 on October 8, 2019. I am just trying to make a good decision. I have an extremely stressful career and watches are something that really help me refocus. I am trying to really think it through. I am all of the place and gathering input on different watches from Daytona, BLRO and DD40. I was told I was first from my AD to receive the BLRO, but now I am told I want receive it until next year. So, I am just trying to figure out my watch collection for the next 10 years and I am grateful to be able to get input from this site.

Personally, I would advise you to purchase the TT model from your AD. This is, of course, assuming that you like the look of TT. If not though then just buy the SS model from the greys. If you can handle the premium that you will be paying and trust the seller then just go with what makes you happiest at the end of the day.

No TT. You will never love it. Good things come to those who wait. Even with Daytona C, once you have it will soon forget home much you wanted it.
So why am I here on this forum answering questions. I go away for many months. It’s just my 116619 stopped working and it is at RSC. So sudden interest in this forum.

If you’re going two tone, this is my favorite.
Otherwise, the old SS case and bezel with white dial.

More “pop” than the SS. It’s all about what look you want.

Can you explain how to post pictures? I can share my DJ41 silver dial from car, Batman watch at the Nationals Game and My Batman compared to the DD40 with Silver Dial that I am considering. Thank you :+)

Hello,
Attached is my DJ41 Silver Dial and my Batman attending the Nationals Game. I have also attached my Batman compared to the DDYG with Silver Roman that I am considering buying. The DD40 takes my breath away :+) |

I'd consider the TT over the old SS bezel Daytonas but not over the ceramic one if that is your grail, I'd wait or go grey, don't settle.

I think the Daytona works beautifully as a two-tone watch. The man seated next to me at the Elvis Costello show night before last was wearing his, and it looked dynamite.
