Comparison Rolex LEC vs Omega
Just got a tripod and was playing around last night, thought some might appreciate the comparison, I guess I posted in the wrong Topic earlier today... There is much more here: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=64838 I can tell already I prefer the Rolex crystal over the Omega, but I wanted to branch out a bit, and I believe the Alaska Project may become a collector in a few decades.

is that Omega LEC exclusive to that model, or does it come on others?

I thought the Omega sign is only there on hexalite (plastic) crystals and not sapphire. Obviously I'm wrong...

Thanks for the compliments, it's so much easier with a tripod.
As for the Omega "LEC" or whatever it is called, I'm sorry I'm new to Omega and I don't know the history or the specifics of the "O" symbol on the crystal. I didn't even know it was there until I put my reading glasses on when I was getting ready to take photos. I'm at work and I try to take a look at the forum every now and then, so I apologize for being late in the response.

Thank you both, here's another small one, I'll only post large photos on the "gallery" I've got many more I just haven't loaded them yet.

well my 2008 Seamaster doesn't have the LEC, so I'm not sure which models do and do not have this on them?
