Watch the Hodinkee / John Mayer interview #2!
How have the TRF'ers felt about Hodinkee's "Talking Watches" series?
Indeed, for the first time, they've RE-interviewed someone, and that happens to. be John Mayer. I found it fascinating, and not just because I feel he's such an interesting character (and a virtuoso guitarist, to be sure...) https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ta...2lwUqczyymnUFs There's going to be SO many questions about what he's said, so let me kick it off here: Does anyone think that he's called it correctly, that the value of the limited edition Daytona with White gold and blue dial, or the Yellow gold and green dial, will go up and up, ... especially in light of the fact that the stainless ceramic is selling for $8-10K more than MSRP ?? What do you all say?

I'm looking those threads over already. Really sorry to waste anyone's time. Maybe you could help, though. How could I have known that the subject was already covered? Just do a search with "Mayer" or something? Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow, Sir.

And, I've enjoyed reading the comments on the other two threads, but some sure get my blood boiling!!! How DARE someone say they think he's a douche-bag, ... as if they know him personally and can judge his world. So moronically naive. Who knows what the whole story is, behind his "affairs" with whatever starlet he was with in his younger days. BTW, you sure don't seem to see that recently, for some reason or another. I am sickened by those who put others down, in some snide way, for "having too much money". They don't see that this is all a spectrum? They they-themselves have WAY more money than 90% of the human beings on this planet, just by owning a Rolex in the first place (I know . . there's some exceptions here, but don't side-track this comment). Whoever you are - there's folks that don't have as much and those who have more than you can dream of. And, NO value judgment there! Just that we're all different. I loved the comments from some that say "he's one of us, and I admire him for that". Good on ya! We're all just those who find a beautifully crafted piece of mechanical splendor to be a source of pleasure in this world of all-too-often pain. So, let's all just lighten up and enjoy a fellow collector's comments and insight. Sorry . . . did I get carried away a bit? Whoops!
