Gifting your AD gifts during holiday seasons

Hi all -

Does anyone give gifts to your AD during holiday seasons as a way to say thank you and to maintain a good relationship with them? Curious what's everyone's thoughts.

Well - my AD is also a good friend - and every so often I’ll bring in a nice bottle of wine.

Really had nothing to do with watches - etc just a long friendship.

It should work in the reverse way.
The AD should offer gift to you ....

The new norm is making me think of how AD relationships should be managed.

This is so wrong for normal people and understandable for WIS. Personally, I do not like this idea. You gotta beg to spend money.

Please have my sanity checked when I start rewarding shop keepers for selling luxury goods to me.

Thanksgiving is 7+ months from now. I don’t think I would plan that far out even for my wife’s gift!

I give my AD a new car every year. This year it was a Jaguar XE Project 8. I get whatever watch I want, as often as I want.

Your AD should be “begging” you to spend your HARD EARNED MONEY, you shouldn’t be begging your AD to LET you spend your HARD EARNED MONEY.

I usually take the AD's mother out to a nice seafood dinner and then never call her again.

I'm thinking of giving all the staff an around the world holiday all expenses paid, and a brand new Mercedes of their choice. Maybe a jet ski too, if the individual is into that sort of thing of course. For the manager, probably a new house in the location of his choosing.

I ask them if they would like me to put their name down on my list, but can’t promise when they will ever get that call...it could be many holidays later, if at all.

So I am supposed to give a retailer "gifts" so I might be able to give him money in the future?

Wow

The AD should be lucky to have you as a customer, as you’re the one lining their pockets, not the other way around. If anything, they should be getting YOU a holiday gift in the form of the watch you want.
