New daily - thoughts

I have been lucky and gotten some cool models.

I am looking and thinking of grabbing a No Date Submariner (114060)

Shall I Grab one for retail or go after an older version (non ceramic version 14060) ?

Some tell me they wear totally differently

Opinions and if you can shed some light on why one over the other?

I kind of like the ceramic bezel as I have a tendency to smack my watch around and this will be a daily most likely

Thanks in advance

I like the maxi case, ceramic bezel and current bracelet functionality. I’d go current model without thinking 2x about the decision.

+1 , Ceramic bezel and glidelock are the best fatures in the Sub line IMO.

I agree, these features do make the 6 digits a better product than the 5 (and I have both).

Agree with all above.

In addition, there’s nothing like breaking in a new watch yourself. I love the new feeling of having a brand new watch... every time...

I had a 14060 but now a 114060. They're both great but I'm glad I made the switch.

I prefer the six digit but try both on, the one YOU like is always the right choice. No wrong choice here.

Had a five digit Sub, and now a six digit Sub. I’d go with a current Sub for sure. I know some people prefer the slimmer lugs of the prior Subs, but the super case never really bother me and the larger lugs aren’t as noticeable on the wrist. I actually prefer the looks and feel of the newer case, and the bracelet is much better on the six digit references. I could never get past the feel of the old bracelets.

I’m thinking of getting the 114060 also. Is it a little thinner than the date version or do hey have the same thickness?

What else do you have in your collection?

I am a fan of the 114060 and it can be awesome as a daily. I love the maxi case personally, and think it really could be the only watch for me.

If you can buy a 114060 at MSRP, I would go that route.
