First Omega Incoming, Pic!
Just picked up a new Seamaster Professional 300 last week and wore it for the 3rd day today (wore my sub for the weekend) and I have absolutely been loving it! However, I do have some questions below:
1. First two days was within specs (+3 spd) for both days. However during the last 24 hours, the watch gained about +7 spd. Has any of you experienced something like this with this particular movement/model? Should I observe it for a few weeks or send it to my AD right away? My sub has been pretty spot on ever since I got it at about +2 spd, so I thought this was a bit concerning. 2. As I was putting the watch away today, I was resetting the time to see how much it gains for tomorrow. For some reason I thought about winding it after wearing it for the day (not my best idea). As I was winding, the rotor was moving along with it. Is this normal? Is it possible that I have overwound the watch? Thanks guys! |

No worries on over winding, and definitely give it a few days/weeks to break in before sending it in for any service. Great watch, enjoy!

If you're correct about its erratic timekeeping, and if you're correct that twisting the crown caused the rotor to turn, then I recommend you return the watch to the dealer from whom you purchased it, and get a different watch.

Is it common for the rotor to spin with winding after the watch is fully wound?

I have two Seamasters that exhibit this same behavior. It’s slight, but the rotor will launch with crown. Both of mine have different movements from the OP’s, but they are current models.

The accuracy of my PO8900 is quite erratic. I’ve seen +5 to 7s per day results, mainly from storing the watch for a day face up. Normal day to day wearing it’s around +3 to 4s, but can be much more or much less. My 18 year old SM120 is +\-0.5s per day and the most accurate and consistent watch I own. My Tudor GMT runs -2s per day consistently.
Although the CoAx PO is arguably within standard, I would have liked to see more consistency. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great watch. My exact same model has been spot on and amazingly only gaining ~2 seconds per MONTH.

I really like the the looks of that watch, I personally have been looking and wanting the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean with the partial orange bezel ring
