How often to Service?

Hey all, how often do you guys service your AP? I just purchased a Rubberclad and its currently with APSC receiving a new bezel, strap, pushers and crown, and a polish.

The watch was serviced less than 2 years ago and is still under warranty for another month. I was offered a "discount" about 25% off the "complete maintenance service" if I was to do it now. Do you think I should opt for this? or should I wait a couple years down the road?

Thanks all

It's your money, but why service a perfectly functional watch.

Service when it stops working, or is running well out of spec.

I’m in Canada so adjust accordingly, but here is general idea.

Complete maintenance service $1800-$2500
Polishing : $ 450- $650
Rubberclad bezel- $1800
Rubber strap is $490.00
Pushers Crown and Gasket - $500
Shipment three way service VIP $220-250 ( covers up to $65,000 CAD

definitely a bit steep if you need a full overhaul.

Wow the replacement bezel is expensive in your region, is it gold or steel? The reason I ask is that I owned a rose gold RC from new and when I changed the rubber the gross price of the bezel was around £1800 but then you get about £1200 back for the gold part of the bezel being replaced so you pay a net sum of £600. It was all carefully itemised on the invoice from AP. Also I was told by AP at the time that since the rubber perishes over time they don’t charge as much for the replacement bezel.

That’s insanity, more like a Ferrari service cost then a watch

Gotta find a good independent, that’s big money

Maybe another way is to ask how many years have perfectly functioning APs gone without service?

My 15300 is receiving its first service along with a dial swap at Clearwater. It was purchased brand new at an AD in 2012.
