How to wear a dress watch

Ok, I thought I'd deviate a bit from the current trend on this forum of talking about grey market nautilus and aquanaut prices and pose a question to all of you parek dress watch owners and enthusiasts.

How tight/loose do you wear your leather band watches? I know watches on a bracelet can usually go both ways, but is there a metric that you follow when it comes to sizing your leather strap? Cheers!

I wear mine loose. Almost like a bracelet.

No metric, just tight enough that the watch stays in place. The tighter you wear the strap the more quickly the strap tends to wear out.

I always wear my watches with an index finger of space in between. Yes it slides, but I feel claustrophobic if it's clutching onto my arm.

This - for me as well.

I used to wear them a bit tighter - but over the last several years I prefer some ‘play’.

Also - helps extend the life of the strap/bracelet.

I like to have my watches not too tight. Loose feels good for me

If it is pin buckle, I'm ok with just nice. If it is fold-over clasp, I prefer a little bit of slack, otherwise it is quite uncomfortable.

I'd rather a little loose than a little tight... for watches.

Pin buckle, wins over clasp all day

Looks like a button on clasp

Just loose enough so the watch cannot rotate fully on the wrist while on.

They don't do pins on aquanauts.

I think for most it’s a personal choice, for me I wear a steel band kinda loose but on leather just alittle tighter, I wear no watch above my wrist bone

I like it thumb snug. Pinky snug might be too tight for me
