This is great!

White in a collection, black as a one and only.

White is a little more fun and sporty. Black is a little more refined, dressy and versatile.

I have owned both, and love both, but currently have the white which is my vote.
If only one, I still think white fits very well with most attire.
It's a win proposition, whichever you get!

Both are so great, but for me if I had to pick in a world of mostly black dialed Rolex, I would choose the white.

Seen both in person (although far away on someone’s wrist) and they both looked fantastic. I think I was slightly more amazed by the white dial though, it just draws you in.

There is a reason the white dial 116500LN sells at a premium to the black, it just looks better to more people and therefore is more desirable. The prices speak for themselves.

They used to giveaway Daytona’s as incentives for other purchases....

I think the fact that Paul Newman wore a white dial has a lot to do with it. If the PN Daytona were black dial the pricing would probably be different.

To me, the white dial almost looks toy-ish.

Same jubilee that's on the previous-gen 6-digit Datejust 36. When I bought it a couple years back they could be found for under $2k BNIB. Think they go for a bit more now

Good luck getting one! I really like the retro look it gave to the ceramic Daytona. Super classy look.
