Your SD43 Looks like a sub next to the DSSD. Can’t wait for my SD43 haha. Btw, are the bracelets the same size between the two?

I've said it too many times. The SD43 wears almost like a sub if it's adjusted to be snug on the back of the wrist bone. its dimensions are not extravagant at all. The perfect size in my opinion for any wrist.

I think the Deep Sea is a killer watch. I had a 116660 right when they came out, but ended up selling it since I didn't wear it much. I got a 126660 earlier this year, but just sold it since I didn't wear it much. It is an absolutely beautiful piece of engineering and design, but it's just a bit too big for me. The SD43 fits me much better.

I have large wrists ,flattish oval rather than round,and find the DSSD 116660 by far my favourite wearer.On the other end of the scale ,the DJ41 jubilee is very comfy .Funny ,both sit better than the Subs on the wrist ..

Blue Bronzo 671 is 47mm but has a very flat caseback and wears very comfy .Etc etc..

I think a lot has to do with :

Wrist size
Wrist shape

The JC 126660 is a beautiful watch

When I opened the box on one I was looking at I almost fell over

It was HUGE! Like comically so

My buddy has one. Wouldn’t recommend it as an everyday watch but at the same time said that after a week he forgot its size as it was very comfortable (but not under a shirt)

I have an SD43 for full disclosure

I have to admit even though im a big guy the watch still has a lot of volume but the dial, I just couldnt get over it.

I have had both, ended up with the SD43, pretty perfect size and dimensions, like some other comments, when fit correclty its similar to a regular sub, but with proper lugs!

Agree, put the JC dial on the SD43 and you may have the perfect watch.

Wow, looking at the pictures you wouldn't think only 2.5mm of thickness separate these two (15.2 vs. 17.7). The Deepsea looks huge but then again it's designed to sustain 3 times more water pressure, so not that thick after all, just marginally.

Same for me - would love to own a JC but can't imagine I'll be okay with the thickness (never tried one on). Have the SD43 and some subs. To me they are equally comfortable, in fact the SD43 can feel light to me when sized right. But optically looking down on my wrist it def wears bigger than a sub, bigger difference for me than some say.

Size does matter and smallish dudes may not be able to pull off the DSSD, but larger guys most certainly can. I am 6'6" , 240 and watch never seems out of place on my wrist. That said, I love the SD, too. Tried them both on before buying the DSSD. Great watch for sure.

Yes my size was a deciding factor ( 6'1 220 ) it fits like how a sub would fit a average sized person.

Not that im a giant, but my brother is 5'11 140lbs and if he would put on a dssd it would be enormous .

I have 3 subs(LN,LVc,WG), the SD43 and the JC DSSD. The SD 43 is worn the most. Best all around diver in my opinion.

I have both. Daily is my JC DS (Usually on rubber). I am also one of these people that take it diving too. On the bracelet (mk1) it does feel a bit top heavy which is prob why they widened it for mk2. I must say though that proportionally the SD43 is the better watch. I came to realise that nothing under 40 does it for me and my sweet spot is 42-44.

Love the thickness of my DSSD.
Contributes significantly to its wrist presence.

My Subc and GMTc almost feel too thin.

The DSSD would be better in titanium. The weight is a bigger issue to me than the thickness.

I think its because the extra thickness is pretty much all in the mid case.

People complain about the SD43's protruding caseback - the thing is, the Deepsea's protrudes almost as much, its just wider
