Diverse collections?

Hey everyone. I saw a thread on how most of the collections shown here are mostly the same and share the same pieces and im curious to see some unique and diverse collections of the forum members. By diverse i mean not the typical ss hard to get subs daytonas gmts etc. Lets see them!

I made it a point to go against the flow and gat different watches and brands but after 10 years i found myself back to rolex. It is just more lasting than the others.

Not even a little bit diverse within the collection, but not the SS seen so often here, either.

I like to think mine is pretty diverse, even tho it’s 50% Rolex

All different complications
Brushed, PCL, rubber, leather
White, black, blue and grey
Gold, steel

Now I just need a blue dialed Titanium chrono to round things out....

My collection is as basic as Starbucks. Although, I put a lot of thought in it. My oddballs are probably my JLC Grand DuoDate and Rolex OP 34 in green.

But where is the Pepsi, per your ID? Unless the inspiration for you forum name comes from the beverage business :)

My “collection” is a lot humbler than all these posts above ^^^

But it’s different!

All I have right now is my DJ36 and a Timex Chronograph.

Now before anyone laughs at my Timex, it’s my first ever chronograph.

It keeps good time (of course it does if it’s a quartz movement!), has a jumping hour hand (for traveling like the Rolex GMT Master 2) has a date, a working chronograph, and I bought it on special for less than $30.

Also, it has a leather band which is different from my SS jubilee on the Rolex.

I’m trying to be a one watch guy, so I’ve only had these two for a while.

But I’m getting the bug for a Seiko skx013, so I might add that soon.

Also, I wanted to add to my post above....

I wear the Datejust about 95 percent of the time, but when I do wear the Timex I enjoy it as well

Diverse collections?

Good discussion in the previous thread and love to see more of these diverse collections. Agree it's getting boring with Speedy/Hulk/Batman/Pepsi/White Daytona/Blue SkyD collections although I understand the reason for it, they are considered the iconic and collectible.

I have come to the conclusion I'm not really a collector, I'm an enthusiast and therefore want to have pieces that are appealing to me, fit my lifestyle, adds diversity to the collection and are somewhat 'significant' pieces. For now it feels like I'm done with Rolex or at least that these 3 will stay 'forever'.

Diverse collections?

I’ve cut back on my collection to just these two. Frankly they cover all bases. Everyday wear and sports/ beater wear.
Frankly the Seiko is really nice for the $$, so much so that it makes me wonder if I really need another sport watch.
The DJ covers pretty much all bases. Frankly I’m starting to think after collecting and owning a lot of watches over the years, I’m just about done with the hobby. Only piece left on my list is a PM sub or DD.

Other than that I’m pretty content right now.

Once owned a variety of 5 subs... when I realized that I sold them all and began again.

I think I have my diversity dialed in. Especially drawn to the unique case shapes and dials.

I think I have my diversity dialed in with the exception of a lack of a broad range of sizes.

All 37mm-40mm
Love the Catier and that is my preferred Perpetual, almost bought the white dial but wanted the black and even though I had a great opportunity I resisted.

Thanks

I often have a difficult time taking the Patek off, it is so easy to wear and is packed with interesting details to enjoy... the fact that it is an automatic is also a huge plus to wearing it as s daily.

Maybe you’ll revisit it one day
