SS or TT GMT-IIC?
For those out there who like the GMT-Master IIC:
If money were no object, would you prefer to wear a TT GMT-IIC over an SS? How many of you would still pick the SS over the TT? GMT-IIC owners, please share photos of your watch! Thank you.

When I bought my SS GMT IIc the price difference really didn't matter. I also considered a SS/plat. YM which was about the same price as a TT GMT IIc. I ended up buying the watch I liked the most: The SS GMT IIc

That's exactly what I wanna know... whether most people settle for the SS GMT-IIC because of the price difference or because they prefer the way it looks over the look of the TT one.

I put down a deposit on a SS GMT-IIC yesterday.
To me, the SS just looks so much better. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but it might be the bezel numbers in gold that I'm not so keen on. |

I'll pick up my GMT next Saturday and I'll find out what the "arrangement" actually amounts to. Basically, I decided to take the plunge now as there is supposed to be a 20% price increase in April. |

Weird, 10% is easily obtainable, and I am selling my V series for £3850, which is four weeks old, and people are still paying £4360.....They must serve some great coffee at that AD

I love TT watches. But I'm reserving that special spot for bluesy. So for a gmt I like the ss

I'm lucky enough to have both, but if I had to choose just one I'd pick the TT all day long, its stunningly beautiful

For some reason, I find that TT looks very nice on the Sub, but the TT GMT isn't appealing at all to me. I'm not sure why.

The TT on the GMTII-C imo exagerates the disproportion of the bracelet/case/head, whereas on the SS it blends in better.

Stainless Steel. Always. Except for the all gold Daytona. Dunno why but I am so attracted to that watch. I never liked gold that's why it's strange for me.

hahaha i find it strange too..if you are a native thailander...and you hate gold then that is something really surprising when people in thailan value gold than anything else....I own couple of SS watches..but still i have to have gold..i have tried the GMT II C TT and i really love it..it was my first choice before i bought my ss daytona...but the forum changed it all...hahahahah

I just don't like TT period. For me it's either SS or all gold. IMHO TT is out of style. That said there is one TT I like, the RG and SS Datejust with domed bezel.

When I bought my GMT ll C, the cost was not a factor in my decision,, in fact the TT was a better buy since I could have gotten 15% off retail vs 10% on he SS.
If i was looking for gold I would have gotten the 18K GMT but I wanted the silver look and bought the SS. The Two Tone just doesnt do it for me in any piece of jewelry. I d still recommend the stainless model, its a fantastic watch. D |

Just got the SS a little over 2 weeks ago....I am also considering the TT, but not now......maybe next year! One thing I noticed, the gold markings on the ceramic bezel is too sharp a gold compared to the gold in the old TT GMTs and Subs. I prefer the gold tone of old.

So your telling us that your Daytona, with the Black dial and inverted bezel #'s is a S/S, looks like a white gold version to me.
I like the TT, having several other S/S Rolex watches it's nice to see some gold. |
