Martin Scorsese, Rolex Ambassador in a Non-Rolex??

I saw this pic of Martin Scorsese, a well known Rolex Ambassador for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences — and at first glance thought he was wearing a Sub or GMT.

As I zoomed in on the bracelet it clearly wasn’t an oyster.

It’s definitely not the DD40 and President he is normally seen wearing in the Rolex ads.

Just curious. Can anyone identify the watch he’s wearing?

It's an Oyster. You're thrown by a reflection across the links.

16710 w/ SEL or 16710T. At first I thought it was a Sub Date but it looks more like a GMT bezel.

Huh - strange. I magnified to pixel level. I guess you’re right. I think the bracelet may be loose or have a lot stretch and perhaps situated so that the link does not appear to be an oyster link.

I agree, looks more like a GMT bezel.

Thank you very much for helping to solve the little mystery. Much appreciated!

The crown seem too big to be a 5-digit GMT.

Going by the crown area & bezel, I say 16610 Sub. Martin is 5'4” so even a 16610 would fit him like a 116610 fits a guy near / over 6'. Bezel is has a green LV tone to it but that's prob the lighting,

Definitely an Oyster bracelet. Looks more like a Sub than a GMT to me, you can see the narrow hash mark at 55min on the bezel and next to it the fatter marking for “50”.

Yeah, that I can agree with. Looking at the bezel again it does appear more like a Sub now. Guess I should have stuck with my original answer.

I think it's a Tudor Submariner, which is why the bracelet links look proportioned differently.

Looks like a Kermit to me. Probably just the reflection on the bracelet throwing it off, but definitely an Oyster

From this shot and the new one just added above it’s 100% Kermit.
