126710BLRO or 126334 fluted on jubilee?
Dear all,
Looking into adding a second watch this year. I own a BBGMT which was meant to be a "beater", as much as a luxury watch can be considered one. Barring any 2020 (or will it be 2021) surprise release I've narrowed it down to these two. The jubilee is a must and I love the comfort and look. Both can be had at retail. My thoughts about each are as follows: BLRO: Need to see in person to decide. Had tried the WG on the oyster with mixed feelings about the Pepsi in ceramic. But the jubilee is a completely different beast in this configuration. My "fear" is it might be too casual despite the jubilee and at the same time redundant (along with BB GMT) On the bright side, I'll have a "beater" and a "better" GMT. Same theme, different level of finish. Please also note I actually use the GMT functionality. DJ41 : I don't have a dressier piece and this could very well be the one. I absolutely love it's classic looks and that blue dial with chroma light lume. Btw I'm not letting go of the Tudor and do not wish to purchase both. Any and all input appreciated 🙏 |

My vote is for the DJ 41.
I've got the exact DJ 41 you're looking at, it's a very versatile piece. Would be a great compliment to your BBGMT. |

If you can get the BLRO at retail, that would be a no-brainer.

No right or wrong, my preference is strongly the 126710. Keep in mind, down the road if you can source some additional bracelets, you can swap for a full brushes bracelet (glidelock) or a PCL 78200 from the old 116710! Lots of versatility there.

BLRO.
If you want a dressier watch, I would look at a watch on a strap. Maybe flip the BB towards a Nomos or Cartier Drive after getting the BLRO? |

Interesting take; With a BLRO, I was actually thinking of keeping the BB and adding a rather inexpensive Junghans Meister Chronometer for just the dressy occasions. I love the slim case and plexi.

BLRO as I'm more of a sports watch that kind of fly's as business casual kind of guy. BLRO is perfect in that regard.

Unsurprisingly, the BLRO wins the poll by a landslide. Such a huge audience and for a good reason.
Heck even my mother seems to favor the Pepsi I really need to try it on before I can decide. The DJ is also Thanks everyone who took the time to respond. |

You will always get a bias towards professional models here. For me, I prefer the DJ41 and DD to essentially every professional model, exception being the solid gold/blue sub. Still, my TT DJ41 is my preference over any other - it’s just pure classic unmistakably Rolex.
