Which model are you planning to get when this thing is over?

Hey guys. I believe that talking about our hobby makes us think positively, so despite wishing none of this had happened I'd like to know which model you're planning to get when this trouble is over. Thanks.

Good question. At this point can't even think about it. Really depends where my mind is once this is over.

My thoughts exactly. I don't have a specific model I want now, so I'll wait and see what happens.

I know what you mean my friend. That's why I thought it was nice to ask and think about that for a moment just to keep positive.

I would Still like to get a blro and a PM sky d on a leather strap. Thinking about getting the sky d now but I wouldn’t pull trigger on blro unless the price came down to around 11-11.5 so looks like I will wait a long time haha

Nothing.

I'm down quite ALOT of $$$ in the share market - however I've gained some of it back now.

I think as a lesson I will diversify my investments and potentially look at some cheap bargains to buy up more shares and we'll see how the housing market is.

This crazy times is a once in a 100 year thing. Even though it has devasted many ppl and businesses it will eventually open up MANY/HUGE opportunities for those once all this settles. Rather put my money into that than a watch. I think some very very good opportunities will present itself.

I would recommend getting the skyD on an all gold bracelet rather than leather. I have 2 steel ones black and white dial then a gold one on a silver dial it’s an amazing watch it really is.

Steel white dial gets most wrist time.

Nothing whatsoever. I’m very happy with my submariner and this whole experience makes me question the sanity of desiring materialistic stuff anyway.

A SS ND SUB 114060 would be on my radar.

This......

Couldn't have said it better myself.

This experience has certainly made me question my own personal motivations for acquiring mere baubles and trinkets, which is exactly what they are in the grander scheme of things.

I fully appreciate we must remain positive and our 'hobbies' help with this but thinking about new acquisitions is the last thing on my mind and probably will be for some considerable time.

I purely log on here at the moment, not to see new incomings, but more so to get a sense of perspective of how people are shaping up in the corners of the globe.

Be Safe. Stay at Home.

I still have a blue dial fluted, jubilee DJ41 on order but the ADs are closed now.

I'm not sure if i'll stick with that or switch back to a sub date. Ideally I could do with a GMT though so I may look at BLNR or maybe a Tudor GMT.

This event hasn't put me off buying anyways.

If this didn't personally hurt you financially, I don't see why mentality will change. The market is already recovering.. I will jump on any professional model that I was previously on the hunt for if available through AD.

No date sub or CHNR, maybe within the next year or so. Right now I'm happy with my 116613LB, so no big rush.

This hasn't even peaked yet in the USA, the market can be pushed into a full on recession for years from this

Unfortunately my watch fund I have on E*TRADE will have to not only recover but recover enough to align with MSRP on some prospective watches I was hoping for...May take some years to bounce back...I am embarrassed to even think this way, so many people have far worse problems from this pandemic...stay safe guys...

Was it the baubles or trinkets comment that got under your skin

Oxford English Dictionary definition of virtue - 'behaviours or attitudes that show high moral standards'

I'll happily take that all day long so thanks for the compliment.........

Agree. But impossible to predict market behavior. Usually market recovery comes before actual economic recovery
