126603 Opinions

Opinions on the 2-tone SD43? I have the SS SD43 as my daily, but really like the SS/yellow gold combo.

I think it's a great look, myself. If you like the TT, go for it!

If you like the size, shape and weight of the SS model, then you will probably love the TT. More to love.

I like TT watches in general and like the TT SD43. If I didn't already have a SS SD43, I very likely would have opted for the TT.

The stainless SD43 just seemed like an oversized sub when it first came out and didn't seem that special, or scream gotta have. But I have had the chance now twice to try on the TT SD43 and cannot get this watch out of my head.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet as I have never imagined that I would want a TT watch and am just letting the thought sit for awhile. That, and I have heard of a few issues with this movement losing time, but who knows. Was going to wait to see if this is a chronic issue with this movement before purchasing.

The TT SD43 is a tough and bold watch IMHO. I have been coming here lately hoping for more reviews of this watch. I have also circled back to the all stainless as a possibility. I have a green sub and a GMT, but with an almost 8" wrist, I wouldn't mind getting something a little larger; especially for summer short sleeve season.

Your post is particularly interesting seeing as how you already have the stainless SD43.

The black and gold is very interesting but not my favorite colour combination. I would want to try a Bluesy SD43 if Rolex were to ever make one, in spite of owning the SS already.

I bought the TT SD43 about 5 weeks, my first Rolex. When I went in the AD in Aruba I had never even considered the SD or a TT. I was looking for and Explorer in polar white or maybe a Sub or GMT. They didn’t have the explorer or a sub but I did look at a Yacht Master and a Yacht Master II, along with a few other things. But when I saw the SD43 TT I loved it! Like the size and weight and the TT has a rich warm feel. I never would have expected to buy a TT but what I like about it is it’s uniqueness! In the time I’ve had it several people have noticed it and asked me about it. I’m very happy with it since it may be the only Rolex I’ll ever buy....maybe.

I love hearing stories like this. I could almost see the TT sd43 as a one and only.

Getting hard to resist...

I saw this watch on March 12 at my AD. Offered to me at retail and since it was the last day of normal life before the virus thing changed everything, I should have taken it. I really really like it but I’m waiting for a 116508 JM. Anyway this is the watch from that day.

SD43 being a true dive monster looks awkward with the TT setting, IMHO

If you can pull off the size, then it's a nice reference. To the untrained eye, yes it looks like a TT sub, but for those in the know, even at firstly glance, you know something just isn't the same as a TT sub.

Here's a shot together with a CHNR for comparison.

I walked into my AD on March 8th just to see what they had on hand, hopeful yet expecting the usual report and they presented this beauty. I was smitten. It has a real presence to it that photos don’t translate. It also happens to be the most accurate automatic watch I own. It’s dead accurate after 5 weeks of use. If you like this reference don’t hesitate.

Love that combo! I’ve been so focused on the SS GMT that I never really considered the CHNR. Now that I’ve had the TT SD43 I’ve changed my view. Would love to have the root beer gmt.

I love the Sd43 TT, it’s my daily watch and checks all the boxes for me. Do it and don’t look back.

I wasn't a two tone fan until this watch.... I've owned a Batman and Yachmaster II in the past, YMII showed me that i prefer bigger models, and Batman showed me that i prefer black dial for a daily

I've tried on the TT sub (both black and blue dials) but the size and look didn't convince me. But when i came accross a TT SD43 at by AD, I really liked it. The black dial combine with gold writing, and semi gold links tie in nicely with the black dial. And the size really makes a wrist presence difference to me compared to a sub...

I was weary of making it my daily an my one and only, but it has been 8 months now and have really enjoyed it every day no matter the occasion or what I'm wearing

The SS43 is awesome, i think the TT is mainly if you're looking for that extra bling on your wrist as it catches the eye. If you like remaining low key and not drawing attention to your watch as much from non WIS, then SS is the better way to go

A little older, but regarding the TT SD43, I'd love to see a Bluesy variation...

TT SD43 is a great watch. Adding gold to a SD43 doesnt seem like much of a deal, even a bit gimmicky, but it's a totally different piece.

You'll always get some (maybe those with longer memories) knocking TT but try and see it and hold it. Like a lot of people comment it really makes a lasting impression.

I'm also hoping for a new colour. Fingers crossed.

Maybe Everose TT and dark Blue? :)

That would be an interesting take for sure. I’d check it out

I prefer the SS SD43, but have to admit the TT is a nice looking piece.

I like it, but the number would have to start with a 14. I wouldn't pay retail+ tax for one.
