A watch you would never sell

Anyone have a watch that they would absolutely never sell? Mine is my 5500 Air King for sure. I bought myself the watch a few years ago in my second year in college, and its been with me through that, through graduation, was on my wrist in a car accident, during a break up..etc. Definitely has been with me through the good and bad. Never fully understood what people were talking about when they talked about the bond they have with certain watches until I got this one. granted, I enjoy all the pieces I own, but this one just feels a bit more special when I put it on. Anyone else share similar feelings?

You can never say that a watch is off limits but; it's best to try to keep what you have.

I said I'd never sell my SD43 and I no longer have it, so for what it's worth I wouldn't sell my BLRO....I'm sure of it this time though

I have about 30 of them that I don't plan to sell.

Not sure what the point of buying and enjoying watches has to do with selling them

If my entirely mundane datejust to me is worth several times the actual market value then it would of course never be sold.
But of course your statemebt might be truer if we are talking a vintage Daytona paul Newman or if you’re literally going broke God forbid.... it all depends doesn’t it..

There’s only one I wish I’d never sold... my first Rolex (16610). But as Gus said above, everything has a price....unless given to me by my wife, parents, kids, etc...

I don’t think I’ve got 30 but like Larry I wouldn’t sell any for similar reasons.

Heuer Camaro (I'm never going to leave you)...

The Heuer Camaro remains the rarest of vintage Heuer chronographs, perhaps because of the short span of its production, or because of its less traditional square shape

But I have been in love before, and said "I would never leave."

ask my ex-girl friends from high school... college... ex-wife.... and the list goes on.

None of my watches will be sold, I have 4 premium watches, a 18k Longines dress watch, a DJ41, a Moonwatch and a Seamaster, my collection is nicely balanced and with some beaters for those tasks that don't permit a luxury watch to be worn.

My green dial Daytona, will never be sold. My first real present to myself after a costly divorce, the shackles were off and I went big.

I love that watch for many reasons and my eldest son has already "Shotgunned" it, youth talk apparently, when I'm gone, and let's face it I can't let my son down.

None of my watches have any sentimental value so they would all get sold if the price was too good to say no to.

Having said that I don’t currently have any intention of selling any of my watches but can’t ever see me selling my first Rolex.

However if someone dear to me gifted me a watch I would never sell it unless I was in financial dire straits and it was either that or no food/house.

My 36mm white dial DateJust. It’s my first Rolex. I won’t sell my SS Submariner Date either. That’s my second Rolex. They both have sentimental value.

I sold my first Rolex, a BLNR (116710, previous iteration) in 2017. It is a decision I regret whenever I think about it. Will never offload another Rolex.
