126711 Doesn't Wind Like It Use To
Six months ago, I purchased a 126711 (GMT Master II Root Beer) from an AD. And when I wound it, the crown rotated as smooth as butter for the first 20 turns or so. Then, for subsequent turns, there was a bit of resistance.
However, things are different now. When the watch is completely wound down, there's a touch of resistance. Those first turns aren't as smooth as they once were. This change is concerning me. Should I take the watch into a RSC? |

How about winding it 60 times, and set the watch down and see how long your power reserve is??? That’s the easiest and most definite way of checking if your mainspring is functioning properly. Do this first as everything else without this basic data is guess work and speculation.

Cool, I'll test the power reserve. Thanks!
